This is a calligraphic letter that dates back to at least the early 1600s.
It’s been called the ‘Letter of Love’ or the ‘Cricut Calligraphymask’.
The letter has become an iconic symbol for the love letters that have made its way into pop culture, and is often attributed to the writer of The Handmaid’s Tale, the 2016 film about a dystopian dystopia where women are forced to choose between their freedom or the tyranny of the man in the White House.
In a recent interview with ABC News, writer and artist Michael Callen wrote: “The letter of love is one of the most powerful symbols in our culture.
